Smile Highlights 2019 – Beautiful Smilemakover without orthognathic corrective jaw surgery

This patient presented to our practice with a significant open bite which could normally only be improved with orthognathic surgery (or simply, corrective jaw surgery).

Instead of years of orthodontic treatment including invasive jaw surgery, the patient opted for a porcelain crown solution which enabled closing of the bite and significant aesthetic improvement. Dr Andrew Peterson was tasked with this difficult case under the mentorship of Dr John Wells. The clinical photos, taken with cheek retractors, highlight the technique always used in our office where you will never get a black, metal margin showing at the gum line, even years later when the gums sometimes naturally recede with age and wear.

An excellent result was achieved and now the patient is all smiles.
