This lovely lady, had a crooked smile, with front teeth that were stained, cracked and discoloured. She really wanted a straighter whiter smile, and an evenness along the edges of her front teeth. Treatment for this case involved placing porcelain veneers on the 6 upper front teeth and 6 lower front teeth. In this way, crooked and worn 12 front teeth were re-imagined and rehabilitated to fit into a new bite with a new shape.
Her bite was opened up a small amount by adding some “bonding” overlays to the upper 8 back teeth. This allowed us to unlock a very deep bite which was traumatic to the original teeth, causing extreme wear and crowding. The case will be protected by wearing a protective night time anti- grinding appliance. This is a thin transparent acrylic guard that covers just the biting surfaces of the upper teeth.
Our lovely patent now smiles all the time and is not subconsciously hiding her bubbly personality anymore.
