March 20th is designated World Oral Health Day. The theme for this year is “Be Proud of Your Mouth”.
Oral diseases affect nearly 3.5billion people, often leading to pain, discomfort, social isolation, loss of self-confidence, lost hours at work or school, and are linked to other serious diseases.
And, did you know that tooth decay is the most common health condition in the world! The great news is that it is preventable. By working with your dentist, you can learn how to prevent oral diseases and possibly avoid the need for treatment altogether.
For anyone who has already suffered oral diseases, the dentist is the best person for you to go to initially. Your dentist has within their expertise the ability to treat most oral health disease, otherwise, they are best placed (over your GP doctor) to refer you to another oral health specialist.
Our team at Simply Beautiful Smiles are here to help you, whether it is in learning how to avoid oral health disease and maintain a healthy smile, or to help you reinstate your mouth and smile to optimum health. We make changes to people’s lives that make a difference and smiles are our specialty.
