This lovely young lady in her 20’s, has some malformed and pointy canine teeth. The side front teeth are also small and asymmetrical.
Aligner orthodontics treatment was considered to improve the bite and tooth position. This option was declined for time reasons, and the patient elected to have very conservative “tooth-coloured bonding”, or bonded veneers, to rebuild and reshape the malformed upper front teeth. The sharp/pointy lower teeth were reshaped and polished to allow room in the bite and improve the overall smile display.
Bonded veneers can be a treatment option where very conservative approaches are needed, and the changes are minor, and where no tooth preparation or minimal intervention is required. These types of procedures typically last for 3 to 8 years depending upon a number of factors including the patient’s home care, the bite and accelerated wear from teeth grinding. Our Cosmetic Dentists can assess and advise on all of these factors, and if cosmetic bonding is suitable for you.
After an initial assessment, a single appointment is usually all that is required to complete the procedure, almost always without the need for needles or anaesthesia. Typically, a bonded veneer fee can range from $600 to $900 per tooth, depending upon many factors and of course, case complexity.
Our dentists will always discuss with their patient, the various veneer options available, including bonded veneers, low/or no preparation porcelain veneers (where indicated for a particular case) and conservative, minimal preparation, custom, handmade, porcelain veneers. Our wonderful Team members are also always available to discuss any other needs. We are only a telephone call away – 02 4731 1599.
This wonderful patient loves her new smile and has happily referred multiple members of her family to Dr John Wells and Simply Beautiful Smiles. For Dr Wells, this was a very satisfying and enjoyable case to complete and present.
